Leg by Leg Description with picture of exchange point. Leg 1 5.76 miles
WELCOME TO AUSTIN!! Very nice scenic run leaving Republic Park and then going thru downtown Austin up historic South Congress Ave., past 6th Street, over the famous 'bat bridge' - home of the largest urban bat dwelling in the US. At mile 1.0 a gradual hill starts and continues thru mile 3.5. Cross over the 290 Intersection and at mile 4.3 a decline begins. Great start to the relay.
Exchange 1 - Corner of Congress and William Cannon at Cannon Square Shopping Center. Leg 2 continues on William Cannon taking a right.

Leg 2 7.15 miles
You will leave South Congress and take a RIGHT on William Cannon and then take a LEFT on 1st St. This is a pretty straight flat run and will take you out of town all the way down 1st St. 90% of the run is on the sidewalks and will take you thru residential areas and some business areas.
Leg 3 6.47 miles
This leg is the most difficult due to lack of shoulders on the road and winding narrow roads. You will run down the Old San Antonio Rd. - a very pretty county tree lined road but it also has no shoulders or limited shoulders. As you go past the country fields and narrow bridges, you will then enter a quiet subdivision and will exchange on the residential streets outside of Buda.
Leg 4 5.68 miles
Please wear orange vest on this leg as it has a very narrow shoulder.
Welcome to Buda!!! Follow 967 the overpass to CR 131. Route continues with hills and valleys on this piece of country road. Take a right on the feeder road of 35 for .5 miles then cross I-35 on
the overpass to CR 131. Route continues with hills and valleys on this piece of country road. Run on Windy Hill Rd. and at mile 2.72 take a RIGHT on CR 124/Palomino Rd., Run on Palomino Rd. to mile 3.59 then take a LEFT on Foster Place, Run on Foster Place to 4.11 and then take a LEFT on CR 123, At mile 4.98 take a right back on Windy Hill Rd. and continue down Windy Hill Rd. (CR 131) the exchange point at the intersection of Windy Hill Rd. and FM 2001 (there is a gravel cut thru)
Exchange 4 - Exchange on cut through gravel road at intersection of 131(Windy Hill Road) and FM 2001.

Leg 5 5.61 miles
Please wear orange vest on this leg as it has a very narrow shoulder. Take a right on 2001 from the exchange. This is a country road with very windy hills and valleys. Great country side views! You will run for 5.6 miles and then see the Exchange point at the Valero Gas Station on the left hand side.
Exchange 5 - Takes place at intersection of 2001 and hwy 21. Valero Gas station is on your left.

Leg 6 5.69 miles
Take a right onto Hwy 21 to start this leg of the relay. At mile 1.6 turn left onto FM 2001, towards Lockhart, Texas. No Texas Relay would be complete without large game fences, which you will see on your right. Once you start on FM 2001 you will run for 4.1 miles until the exchange.
Exchange 6 - Takes place at Bridge located at 2001 and County Road 233.

Leg 7 5.74 miles
Nice flat run along Texas Cotton Fields! Keep running down FM 2001 and stay on this road the whole time as you come into Lockhart....Take a right on N. Blanco Rd. as you come into town, exchange is on the RIGHT.
Exchange 7 - Texas Department of Transportation at street before intersection of hwy 183 and FM 2001, Blanco Road.

Leg 8 6.89 miles
Lot of directions for leg 8 as you run through Lockhart. Continue straight on Blanco Road for 1.0 miles, then take a Right on San
Antonio Street and run for .8 miles and then take a left on San Jacinto Street- residential area. Run down San Jacinto for 1.2 miles, then take a right on State Park Road / FM 20 ( at 3.0 miles from the exchange). Run for another 3.9 miles down FM 20 until the exchange.
Exchange 8 - State Park road and County Road 109, aka Black Ankle Rd

Leg 9 7.06 miles
Texas Country Road. From the exchange point keep on running down FM 20, and at mile 1.2 there is a hill that is about a quarter mile long then back to a flat run. At mile 6.5 cross over Hwy 80. Go .4 past the Hwy and then you will see the exchange at the San Marcos River. (LOOK FOR PEOPLE TUBING :)
Exchange 9 - Immediately before Guadalupe County Line and the San Marcos River.

Leg 10 5.96 miles
Continue on the long country road / FM 20. Flat plain for most of the run. At mile 2.5 take a left on to continue to stay on Hwy 20. Then run 3.4 miles on FM 20 until the Exchange on the side of the road on the right.
Exchange 10 - At address 11800 Hwy 20.

Leg 11 6.03 miles
Slight incline for first .7 miles.......Don’t get excited and head to Germano. Keep on running down FM 20 for the entire 6.03 miles until you come to Timmerman Rd.

Leg 12 8.50 miles
Flat plains in to Seguin. Take a left onto business 123/ N. Austin Rd. Run under IH 10. Left on to Kingsbury Rd and run for .9 miles. Right on King Street for .2 miles, left onto Cedar Street after .2 miles.
Exchange 12 - Matador Stadium- Seguin High School
Leg 13 5.22 miles
Continue out of stadium and on to Cedar St. At corner take a right onto 123 South. Please use sidewalk until out of business area.
Exchange 13 - Exchange after Cottonwood Creek.

Continue on dirt road FM426. At first intersection take a left onto county road 425 at mile 1.0 Jump back on 123 taking a right. Don’t blink, you will run through Stockdale, Texas.
Exchange 17 - .2 miles past hwy 97 at the Ferrell Gas Building on the outside of town.

Last leg...stay in barriers! Out of parking lot- take a Left on Moore St, Right on 35 to 191s. At mile 5.2 exit Burleson St Left on 181 (Surfside), Left on Breakwater to the finish line. FINISH ON THE BEACH!!!!
